About Capim Branco Estate And Why We Love This Coffee

Located in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil, Capim Branco Estate is a family-owned farm that has been in operation for over a century. The estate is known for its commitment to sustainable farming practices, which have helped to produce coffee beans that are not only flavourful but also environmentally friendly.

Capim Branco Estate coffee is grown at an altitude of around 1,150 meters above sea level, which is considered the ideal altitude for producing high-quality coffee. The estate is located in the Cerrado region, which is known for its warm and dry climate, with distinct wet and dry seasons that are ideal for coffee cultivation.

The coffee grown on Capim Branco Estate is primarily of the Arabica variety, which is known for its mild, sweet flavour and low acidity. The coffee beans are harvested by hand and by mechanical harvester, which helps to ensure that only the highest quality beans are used. The beans are then carefully processed and roasted to bring out the unique flavour profile of the estate's coffee.

The flavor profile of Capim Branco Estate coffee is unique and complex, with notes of chocolate, yellow fruits nuts, and caramel. The coffee has a medium body and a smooth finish, making it a popular choice among coffee lovers who enjoy a rich and flavourful cup of Brazilian coffee.

In addition to its delicious flavour, Capim Branco Estate coffee is also known for its commitment to sustainability. The estate has implemented a number of eco-friendly farming practices, including using organic fertilizers, conserving water, and recycling waste. The farm also provides a fair wage to its workers, and invests in social programs to support the local community.

Capim Branco Estate coffee is sold in a variety of forms, including whole bean, ground, and espresso. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or simply looking for a delicious and sustainable cup of coffee, Capim Branco Estate coffee is definitely worth a try.

Capim Branco Estate coffee is a flavourful and sustainable coffee that is not to be missed. With its unique flavour profile and commitment to sustainable farming practices, this coffee represents the best of what Brazil has to offer. About Our Direct Trade Relationship With Ismael & Romulo Andrade

In early 2021 Valeri made contact with Ismael Andrade & his son Romulo with the intention of buying their coffee direct trade and paying a higher premium for quality coffee from their Sao Silvestre estate as part Mikro commitment to Premium quality coffee and helping financially support our partner producers to do what they do best, grow amazing coffee and live a happier lives.

Capim Branco and Sao Silvestre estate are a multi award winning coffee estates and Ismael personally helped setup and establish Brazil Specialty Coffee association to improve overall Brazil coffee quality and help educate fellow farmers to grow and process Specialty Coffee and attract higher premiums for their hard work.

After David from FTA coffee made the introduction and imported some of Ismael's coffee for the first time in 2021 and we fell in love with it and secured a full year supply of Ismael's coffee.

We paid Ismael Extra Premium for every kg of his coffee we purchased directly to his bank account with the intention of building and growing our relationship and helping Ismael and his son Romulo achieve higher premiums per kg of coffee we purchase and roast for you moving forwards and further develop their sustainable farming practices and continue paying fair wages to their workers.

Since starting to work with Ismael we have shared some of his own coffee roasted by us at Mikro with him and Romulo to enjoy, its not often Ismael gets to enjoy his own coffee roasted overseas and packaged ready for customers enjoyment.

Please keep in mind that by buying this single origin Brazil coffee you are directly supporting the Andrade family and all their workers of Capim Branco and  Sao Silvestre estates. We know the price of this coffee is slightly higher than usual and the reason is directly linked to premium quality and higher prices we commit to pay Ismael and Romulo.
